NATION IN BRIEF : OHIO : Lotto Player Wins $50-Million Jackpot

A warehouse manager from Erie, Pa., won Ohio’s record $50-million Super Lotto jackpot, the second largest lottery payoff to a single winner in the United States. Richard Hovis, 37, took a limousine to Ohio Lottery Commission headquarters in Cleveland to surrender his ticket. It was the 12th largest jackpot nationally, but his total take was second only to the $55.2 million won by a Florida woman.
