IBM, Motorola Reportedly End Talks: Negotiations between International Business Machines and Motorola to license IBM’s most advanced memory chip technology have collapsed, according to the New York Times. The talks, which began earlier this year, focused on offering IBM’s 4-million-bit computer memory chip design--the highest capacity chip now in production--to Motorola, possibly as a way to strengthen the U.S. chip industry.
