Kuchiki, Sand 3rd in Skate America
The pairs figure-skating team of Natasha Kuchiki of Canoga Park and Todd Sand of Thousand Oaks stood third after the original program Thursday in the Skate America competition in Buffalo, N.Y.
Soviets Marina Eltsova and Alexei Bushkov are first after the first day of skating. They were followed by Radka Kovarikova and Rene Novotny of Czechoslovakia.
The final programs are scheduled for this evening.
