ConAgra to Acquire Elders Assets: The Omaha-based firm said it has signed a letter of intent with Elders IXL Ltd. of Australia to acquire assets of Elders Brewing Materials and Elders International Wool Division, as well as a 50% interest in Elders Meat Division. Elders IXL, based in Melbourne, Australia, is an international agribusiness and brewing company. ConAgra, an international food company with annual sales of $20 billion, said it plans to invest $175 million in the transaction.
