Oil Found Off of Africa

CORAL GABLES, Fla. —
An international consortium led by Texaco discovered oil in two wildcat wells off the northwest coast of Angola, the president of Texaco Latin America-West Africa said.
C. Robert Black, president of the Texaco unit, said the first well is located fives miles offshore, in a 1 million-acre tract known as Black 2.
