High Standards

When I was in Cuba last January, I heard a Cuban woman say, “When the Revolution came, many of our friends left Cuba for Spain or the United States. They realized that under the new regime incomes would be curtailed. My husband had been making a good salary and we lived most comfortably. Since Cuba is our country we decided to stay and, as Christians, we should be willing to have less income so that those who have little or nothing might have enough.”

How great it would be if President Bush and Congress, as our nation’s leaders, adhered to such a high standard.
