Dedication Held for Indian Clinic
More than 250 people attended a recent dedication ceremony of the American Indian Clinic’s new two-story building in the 9000 block of Artesia Boulevard.
The clinic, the only facility for American Indians in Los Angeles County, is scheduled to move from Compton to the larger offices in Bellflower later this year, Director Joan Freeman said. The clinic has been in Compton for 20 years.
The clinic was dedicated to the late actor Will Sampson, who was featured in “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest.” Sampson was on the clinic’s board of directors for several years.
