CAMARILLO : Councilman Collects Candidates’ Views

Share

Michael Morgan calls it “quality control.” The Camarillo councilman says he is keeping a special box filled with clippings of comments from this year’s council candidates.

Nearly all eight candidates claim that they want to preserve agricultural land, and Morgan says he wants to make sure that those elected to the three seats keep their promises. He says he thinks some candidates may just be jumping on the environmental bandwagon.

“Whoever comes in, I want to make sure they’re sincere,” said Morgan, who is not up for reelection. “So I’m putting together some of their comments and I will bring them to their attention if they vote otherwise. I call it my quality control box. It gives me something to fall back on.”
