Insurance Fraud Rings

I find Reiner’s comments regarding the insurance industry being responsible for the escalation of fraud to be insulting, inaccurate and unfair to those of us saddled with the enormous responsibility of dealing with it.

For more than a decade, and until recently, the state’s court system has been hostile to the insurance industry. It established and overwhelmingly enhanced the concept of bad faith.

The insurance industry has repeatedly handed to law enforcement agencies cases of proven fraud on a silver platter. These agencies then conduct their own investigations only to be denied the opportunity to follow through with an arrest and conviction by our district attorney.

A bravo to the courageous officers involved in the lengthy investigations and arrests. Thumbs down to Reiner’s politically induced and unfounded comments.
