COSTA MESA : Abusive Childhoods Focus of Workshop
A free two-hour workshop designed to help people overcome abusive childhoods will be offered Monday at Orange Coast College.
The session, led by therapist Darlene Boyd, a marriage, family and child counselor, will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Re-Entry Center.
Boyd will discuss the effects of an abusive childhood, such as how it often results in an adulthood marked by depression, low self-esteem, rage, co-dependency and addiction.
The center is behind the Counseling and Admissions Building. For more information, call (714) 432-5162.
