Jurors completed a second day of deliberations Friday in the double-murder trial of La Jolla socialite Elisabeth Anne (Betty) Broderick without reaching a verdict.
After deliberating Friday for about five hours, jurors went home about 3:30 p.m., saying they were tired, San Diego Superior Court Judge Thomas Whelan said.
The panel is due to reconvene Monday, Whelan said. Jurors have not passed any notes to the judge or indicated who on the six-man, six-woman jury is the foreman.
Betty Broderick, 43, is charged with two counts of first-degree murder in the Nov. 5, 1989, shooting deaths of her ex-husband, Daniel T. Broderick, and his new wife, Linda Kolkena Broderick.
