279 Iraqi POWs Arrive in Baghdad

NICOSIA, Cyprus —
A total of 279 Iraqi prisoners of war released by Iran arrived Thursday in Baghdad, the official Iraqi News Agency reported.
Their arrival followed the release by Iraq and return to Tehran the previous day of 238 Iranian POWs.
This was the first exchange between the two countries in nearly two months.
