Burglary Suspect, 21, Escapes Jail in Orange
A 21-year-old burglary suspect from Anaheim escaped from the Theo Lacy Jail Wednesday night after he had returned from a court appearance, sheriff’s officials said.
Sheriff’s Lt. William Francis said Orlando Santo, who also goes by the name Reynaldo Sanchez, escaped from authorities at about 7 p.m. just as he got off a bus inside the medium and minimum security jail compound.
Santo eluded a search by special patrols, helicopters and dogs.
Santo is not considered dangerous, Francis said. He was last seen wearing a purple shirt and white pants, is 5 feet, 6 inches tall and weighs 140 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes.
