Passionate About Play

I must answer Ruth Weber’s Nov. 11 musing about why so many travel to Oberammergau, Germany, to see the Passion Play. It’s because that Passion Play is the original of all passion plays. And there is much to be said about the impressive costumes, the glorious state settings and the wonderful music.

But I also hope some day to attend the Eureka Springs, Ark., version. And the Good Lord willing, I hope to return to Oberammergau in 2000 to attend the Passion Play for the third time.
