Ford Air Bag Recall: Ford Motor Co. recalled about 110,000 1990- and 1991-model Ford, Mercury and Lincoln cars to see if they were equipped with potentially defective air bags. The company said TRW Vehicle Safety Systems Inc., an air bag supplier, told it that about 3,000 potentially defective air bags had been shipped to Ford assembly plants. Cars involved are 1990 models of the Ford Taurus and Tempo, Mercury Sable and Topaz and Lincoln Continental along with 1990 and 1991 versions of the Ford Crown Victoria and Mercury Grand Marquis cars. Owners will be notified by mail.
