‘Non-Prisoners’ to Get Amnesty

TEGUCIGALPA, Honduras —
The Honduran government will pass a decree granting amnesty to all political prisoners--even though the government denies having any, a court official said Wednesday.
The amnesty decree will be made to “promote the credibility of the Honduran government with respect to human rights,” said Rigoberto Espinal Irias, a magistrate of the Supreme Court of Justice.
