Springer Wins 2 Titles in Tennis Competition

Tom Springer of Canoga Park won a pair of titles to lead a successful Valley-area contingent in the eighth Rancho Bernardo Inn Senior Grand Prix Masters Tennis Championships in San Diego.

After winning the men’s age 55-and-older singles title, Springer teamed with Gary Russell of Rancho Palos Verdes to post another victory in the doubles competition.

In singles action, Shannon Gordon of Van Nuys won the women’s 30-and-over title and Art Santilli of Camarillo took home the men’s 40-plus trophy.
