The International Olympic Committee will establish a commission to investigate alleged doping by athletes in Germany, a Norwegian news agency reported Tuesday.
IOC President Juan Antonio Samaranch told NTB in Lillehammer, Norway, that the commission will start work at once and determine if further action is required.
German news media reported last week that well-known athletes had admitted using banned substances to enhance their performances. At least two German sports commissions are investigating the claims.
