L.A. Firm Wins RTC Contract: Palmieri Asset Management Group was picked by the federal Resolution Trust Corp. to manage and dispose of $250 million in assets from Franklin Savings Assn., a maverick thrift in Kansas being operated by the RTC. The assets include real estate property such as homes and commercial office and warehouse space. Palmieri, one of 10 companies that bid for the contract, will manage the assets through its Houston office and expects to earn up to $5.1 million in fees.
