P.M. BRIEFING : Diebold Buys Part of ATM Line

CANTON, Ohio —
Diebold Inc. said today it completed its purchase of part of the International Business Machines Corp.’s automated teller machine service business for an undisclosed price.
The deal includes ATM maintenance agreements and service parts inventories required to support the installed base of IBM ATMs in the United States.
Diebold Chairman Robert Mahoney said the acquisition will increase sales about 10%.
