Free-agent pitcher Ted Power signed a one-year contract today to rejoin the Cincinnati Reds after a three-year absence. Terms of the contract were not disclosed.

The right-hander spent the 1990 season with the Pittsburgh Pirates, where he was 1-3 with a 3.66 ERA and seven saves in 40 games, all in relief.

Power came to major leagues with the Dodgers in 1981-82. He spent the 1983-87 seasons with the Reds, and led the National League in games pitched in 1984, when he appeared in 78 games. He led the Reds’ relief staff in 1985 with 27 saves.
