SAN CLEMENTE : Planners to Study Street Proposals
A recommendation to create three one-way streets in the residential area near the San Clemente Pier is scheduled for discussion tonight by the Planning Commission.
Traffic planners have targeted three blocks in the area, known as the Pier Bowl, to help ease congestion and parking problems created by beach-goers.
The three proposed one-way streets are Capistrano Lane, from Santa Ana Lane to Avenida Del Mar; Santa Ana Lane, from Avenida Del Mar to Monterey Lane, and South Alameda Lane, from Monterey Lane to Avenida Del Mar.
The meeting begins at 7 p.m. in City Hall, 100 Avenida Presidio.
