This is a long overdue letter to say thank you and nice job to Tom Hatten, host of KTLA’s weekend movies (Saturdays, 3 p.m./Sundays, 10 a.m.).

The show is great and it’s one of the few places in TV where you can see classic old flicks without needing cable television. Hatten makes even a less-than-classic film worth watching. His background and where-are-they-now updates are interesting, and his enthusiasm is infectious.
