Protests Against Gulf Actions

I suspect that Rosen’s “grass-roots war resistance” is largely limited to the milieu that she knows: university campuses and street corners, with a few dedicated letter writers thrown in.

The vast silent majority who voted for Ronald Reagan and George Bush, who voted against extreme propositions, and who hope against hope that term limitations will not be declared unconstitutional, they do not stand on street corners, nor do they march with painted faces, nor do they write letters to the editor very often.

And while they may not be in favor of bayonet charges or getting killed in the jungles of Vietnam, they do support the President’s so-called war policy. It seem to be working rather well.
