Denture Adhesives to Be Modified: SmithKline Beecham Consumer Brands said it is modifying a formula and will have a new product on the market shortly to replace two denture adhesives recalled from retailers’ shelves because of the presence of benzene. The company announced a voluntary recall Thursday of its Orafix Special and Brace denture adhesives, effective immediately, because of minute amounts of benzene in the products. All other products marketed under the Orafix name are not affected. SmithKline has established a consumer hot line, (800) 422-4263, to handle questions.
