MOORPARK : 3 Candidates to Vie for Council Vacancy
Three candidates have filed for the empty seat on the Moorpark City Council that was left vacant when Councilman Paul Lawrason was elected mayor Nov. 6.
Former Councilwoman Eloise Brown, who lost her seat in November to Planning Commissioner John Wozniak, filed her candidacy papers Wednesday.
Other candidates who have filed are John Roberts, a former parks commissioner, and Roy Talley Jr., chairman of the Planning Commission.
Former Councilman Clint Harper, who lost his council seat in his bid for the mayoral position against Lawrason, pulled candidate papers on Thursday but did not file.
The deadline for filing for the March 5 election was 5 p.m. Friday.
