*** 1/2 Rosanne Cash, “Interiors,” Columbia. This album seems aimed less at Cash’s core country audience than at pop fans who find Leonard Cohen too lighthearted. A darkly confessional work, “Interiors” charts the rocky depths from which she and her husband, Rodney Crowell, recently emerged, if not unscathed, at least with their marriage intact. Her poetics aren’t always the most graceful, but the brutal honesty with which she tells this hard-won survival story makes the ride worth every bumpy inch.
