Irvine’s ‘Contagious Disease of Committee-itis’ Is Diagnosed

Re the editorial “Contagious Disease of Committee-itis” (Dec. 20) wherein you speak of cutting on “committees that duplicate efforts or whose task is done.”

I think it is appropriate and a step in the right direction to trim the fat off government. But I especially agree with your suggestion that the “2-year-old Citizens Advisory Committee on International Affairs” should not be eliminated since the city of Irvine has much more to gain than to lose by doing so.
