Egg Magazine to Fold With March Issue: The publication, launched as the brainchild of Malcolm Forbes just days after his death last February, will cease with the issue being completed this week. It marks the end of one of New York’s last remaining avant-garde magazines focusing on night life. Egg’s bi-coastal coverage wasn’t enough to keep it from succumbing to the same economic forces that forced the closure of at least a dozen other major magazines in 1990, experts said.
