Honda Motor Co. Ltd. plans to import Accord station wagons produced at its U.S. plant into Japan, the company said.

Honda spokesmen would not comment on the number of station wagons to be imported, or when such imports would begin. A published report today put the number at 6,000 station wagons in 1991, starting in April.

Honda began importing Accord coupes into Japan from its plant in Marysville, Ohio, in April of 1988. Last year, it imported 10,000 Accord coupes, and plans to raise that number to 12,000 in 1991, spokesman Kermit Whitfield said. The Ohio plant produces all Accord coupes and station wagons.
