World IN BRIEF : ALBANIA : 1 Hurt in Bombing at Opposition Rally

A bomb exploded at a rally for the new alternative Democratic Party, slightly burning a child, a party spokesman said. About 40,000 people attended the rally at Vlora, 60 miles southeast of Tirana, the capital, said Genc Pollo, spokesman for the Democratic Party. The ruling Communist regime of Ramiz Alia, meanwhile, announced the pardon of 202 political detainees, apparently meeting a key demand of the opposition.
