Ankle Injury Sidelines Palmdale’s Leading Scorer for Two Weeks

Palmdale forward Chris DeGlopper is expected to be sidelined for as long as two weeks, according to Coach Garry Phelps, after the 6-foot-5 senior suffered a sprained ankle in the second quarter of a 65-49 loss to Canyon on Tuesday night.

DeGlopper, who leads the Falcons with 16.2 points per game and is second with 7.5 rebounds per game, was injured with Palmdale leading the Golden League game, 23-16, in the second quarter.

“When he went out, we just fell apart for some reason,” Phelps said.

X-rays proved negative, Phelps said, but DeGlopper is wearing a half-cast on the ankle.
