U.S. Grants $14 Million for Uganda AIDS Fight

WASHINGTON —
The United States will send Uganda $14 million in health grants to fight AIDS and childhood diseases, two senior Administration officials said Thursday as they wound down a 17-day mission to Africa.
Health Secretary Louis W. Sullivan and Ronald Roskens, administrator of the U.S. Agency for International Development, are assessing health programs in eight African nations during their trip.
