Carolco Extends Distribution Agreement: Carolco Pictures Inc. Chairman Mario Kassar said his company extended its three-year agreement to distribute films through Sony Corp.’s Tri-Star Pictures unit for an additional two years. The agreement was initially set to expire at the end of 1991 but will now run through 1993. Carolco expects to supply Tri-Star with 12 movies under the revised deal, including “Terminator 2: Judgment Day,” starring Arnold Schwarzenegger.
