Drought and Water Rationing
The recent rains were a needed and welcome event. Even as the gentle rainfall was soaking into the soil, the automatic sprinklers of several of our neighbors were going full blast, wasting water from our city’s meager supply. An automatic sprinkler system may be a convenience to some, but it is still a crime against the commonweal.
It is also disconcerting to see driveways and sidewalks still being hosed down in face of the law. These egocentrics have never heard of brooms.
