P.M. BRIEFING : More Mideast Flights Canceled
Royal Jordanian Airlines today canceled all flights bound for points east of the Persian Gulf, while Iran Air stopped flights to several Middle East destinations as the threat of war loomed.
The cancellation of all Royal Jordanian flights to Bangkok, Thailand; Singapore; Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia; Karachi, Pakistan; Calcutta, and New Delhi came a day after Thai Airways International canceled all its flights to the Persian Gulf region. Earlier this week, two U.S. carriers, Pan Am and TWA, suspended service to some cities in Europe and the Middle East.
