California IN BRIEF : BAKERSFIELD : Smoking Banned in County Buildings

Smoking has been banned in all Kern County government buildings, effective immediately. County supervisors unanimously adopted an ordinance that will require employees and the public to go outside if they want to smoke. Previously, smoking was allowed in designated areas of county offices and in hallways of court and administration buildings.
