The WHITE HOUSE and CONGRESS also voiced frustration at the lack of information. “We haven’t got the specifics, and that’s causing heartburn in Congress, as well as it has in the press corps,” Rep. Les Aspin (D-Wis.), chairman of the House Armed Services Committee, said. Even President Bush doesn’t know much more about the effect of the bombing campaign than the general public, White House spokesman Marlin Fitzwater said.
