La Verne : Plan for Water Rationing

Share

La Verne will have a mandatory water-rationing plan drafted by March, although Director of Public Works Brian Bowcock said it might not be implemented if the public cuts water usage voluntarily.

Bowcock said many of the biggest water users in the city are golf courses and businesses. He said 6% of the city’s users use 57% of the water, but he added that residents who use more than about 35,000 gallons of water every two months should be cutting back.

The City Council on Monday appointed Councilmen Robert F. Rodriguez and Patrick J. Gatti to work with Bowcock on the plan.
