SIMI VALLEY : Applications Open for Advisory Panel
Applications are being accepted for positions on each of Simi Valley’s four neighborhood councils, which serve as an advisory group to city officials.
The only requirements are that applicants be residents and at least 18 years old, city officials said.
Vacancies exist on all four neighborhood councils, which generally consist of about nine members each. Members are appointed by the City Council to serve two-year terms.
Each of the neighborhood councils represents a specific geographic zone and meets regularly to review issues of public concern within its boundaries. The panels then make recommendations to the City Council.
