Controversy Over Protests
When I saw the cardboard box and plastic trash bag “houses” on my way to the downtown federal building on Jan. 16, I naturally assumed that would be the most obscene thing I would see that day. I never imagined that I would witness the gentlemen of the Los Angeles Police Department pulling over and giving tickets to drivers who honked their car horns to express solidarity with the anti-war protesters.
This militaristic, national security state mentality has not only bankrupted us financially, but spiritually as well.
