War IN BRIEF : IRAN : Black Rain Blamed on Kuwait Oil Fires

A black, greasy rain poured down on an Iranian coastal province, caused by burning Kuwaiti oil fields, the Iranian news agency IRNA said. It said the black rain fell on Bushehr province, about 160 miles east of Kuwait, on Tuesday. U.S. military spokesmen have said aerial photos show the Iraqis have torched several oil wells and storage tanks in Kuwait.
