Money Funds at Record High: The Investment Company Institute reported that the assets of the nation’s 531 money market mutual funds rose $3.19 billion in the latest week to an all-time high. The rise to $449.62 billion in the seven-day period ended Jan. 23, followed a $7.63-billion increase in the funds’ assets the week before, according to the Washington-based trade group.
