Iraqi Missiles Attack Israel

Now I’ve heard everything! It’s like a page out of “Alice in Wonderland” when I read that Israel has been urged by the United States not to respond to attacks by Iraqi missiles. Is Israel supposed to quietly, willingly let its people be destroyed rather than defend itself in order not to offend our Arab “allies” (such as Syria)? Could anything be more unreasonable?

It is like being attacked by a vicious man-eating tiger but you are told, “Don’t fight back, you might make him mad.” Israel has already made the Arabs mad--just by existing! And the U.S. has already made bitter enemies in the Arab world just by helping Israel to stay alive. The only way the U.S. could make the Arabs happy would be to help them blast Israel off the map. With friends like that we don’t need any enemies!
