BLACK AND WHITE

Share

Your otherwise excellent article on black/white marriage failed to point out that children of such marriages face a much greater social problem than their parents do. Our society insists on assigning everyone to a single race, thus forcing a child to deny half his parentage. For example, on school forms that ask for the child’s race, he or she must choose a single box to check but cannot check two boxes.

Why do bureaucrats insist that a person is black or white, but not both?
