A NATION OF KNOW-NOTHINGS
Meisler’s article was incomplete in that he failed to mention the fact that although we Americans of African descent didn’t arrive here voluntarily, we also continue to lose touch with our culture, heritage and language.
Whether you believe it or not, we African-Americans are interested in world events. Coverage of the affairs of African, West Indian, Caribbean and black South American countries (which also have foreign policies) is scanty, at best. To be considered fair and impartial, the issue that this article addressed should have considered all participants. Again, we continue to be denied recognition as citizens of this country, this universe.
