Some gulf terminology and jargon: * Intercepts: Refers to the enforcement of the U.N.-approved economic sanctions against trade with Iraq. The successful completion of a “maritime intercept operation” means the U.S. Navy has prevented ships from delivering goods or supplies bound for Iraq.
* C-cubed: The network of military communications that permits a commander to control forces--by telephone, short-wave radio or other means--is “the command, control and communications” network, or simply “C-cubed.”
