Investor Pleads Guilty in Inside Trading Case: Lawrence Small of Los Angeles, who prosecutors said had profited from advance knowledge of a Business Week magazine investment column, pleaded guilty to two counts of securities fraud. Small was the fourth person to plead guilty in the case. He faces a possible 10-year prison sentence and a fine of up to $500,000. Small made more than $57,000 between September, 1986, and July, 1988 in the insider trading scheme, said Assistant U.S. Attorney Alice Hill.
