COUNTYWIDE : Displaced Workers Offered Assistance

A county committee Thursday will distribute information about housing, clothing and health care to farm workers who lost their jobs because of the devastating December crop freeze.
The meeting is set for 1 p.m. at the Hall of Justice dining room in the County Government Center in Ventura.
The Farm Bureau is also scheduled to assess freeze damage and estimate the number of displaced workers.
