William J. Young has been named president and chief executive of Volkswagen of America, the Troy, Mich.-based unit of Volkswagen AG, effective March 1. Young, vice president of Volkswagen U.S., succeeds Hans-Jorg Hungerland, who will join the board of management of VW Brand in Wolfsburg, Germany, where he will be responsible for VW and Audi sales worldwide. Additionally, Volkswagen AG has appointed John Kerr, Volkswagen of America vice president for finance and treasurer, president of its North American operations.
